Hello from Giovanna 🎶
I’m the founder of Music Pals, the author of Trainee, and a music student who’s been surrounded by music for as long as I can remember. From piano lessons and vocal training to learning guitar and drums, music has always been the way I connect with the world—and with others.
In my younger years, I often struggled to stay engaged and make my practice productive (haha—I definitely gave my mom plenty of headaches!). Kids may love music, but practicing can feel un-motivating, frustrating, or even unrewarding. At the same time, many experienced music students want to share their passion but don’t know where to start. That’s why I created Music Pals to bridges that gap by connecting young musicians (Little Pals) with experienced student mentors (Big Pals) for one-on-one virtual practice support.
What began as an idea inspired by one of my own teaching sessions quickly grew into a passion project—combining my love of music, leadership, and service. Along the way, I’ve learned how powerful peer-to-peer support can be. Music Pals isn’t just about a good practice session—it’s about growing through music together.
